2019 Bouchard Père et Fils Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirots
We just tried one of the 2019 Les Noirots from Bouchard, and it was a lovely bottle and comes highly recommended. Noriots is a small, well-situated Premier Cru vineyard bordering Bonnes-Mares, known for producing Pinot Noir of both elegance and structure. One of the rarest wines in the Bouchard lineup, this is seldom seen outside of Europe and usually goes for quite a bit more than what we are asking today. The 2019 vintage in Burgundy was warm and low-yielding, producing concentrated, ripe wines with fine tannic structure and notable freshness that is considered one of the best vintages of the last decade. In the glass, the wine displays a deep Pinot color and aromas of black fruits and violets, accompanied by a smooth, balanced palate. The palate is long and supple, showing off its Chambolle elegance. Approachable now, this will continue to age for another decade or more and is a fantastic buy for premier cru Red Burgundy from a vintage like 2019.
