We have another incredible vintage of Valentini Trebbiano today at this great price! One of the most important addresses of Abruzzo and a truly legendary name in this part of Italy, the Valentini family's work has done more than anyone else’s to bring serious attention to the region’s wines. Producing only three different cuvées and releasing them only in vintages they deem worthy, Valentini has built an almost unmatched reputation for rigor, individuality, and restraint, and the Trebbiano remains one of the estate’s most compelling signatures. The 2020 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is outstanding and one of the best from this estate. Timid and subtle in its youth, this builds wild layered complexity with time, meshed with surprising power, richness, and the kind of tension, purity of fruit, and profound minerality that place it comfortably alongside some of the greatest old-world white wines. This is showing great after 6 years, but will continue to age beautifully and is a vintage not to miss from Valentini, especially at this incredible low pricing!

Bone dry on the palate, with zesty acidity, great weight and almost salty lemon flavors. A touch of almonds filigreed to the structure. Tangerine and ginger undertones. This seductress is ripe and succulent upon entry, yet with a salty, sultry core of minerality, blending sour lime with apricots and liquid stone. The 2020 ends with a lemony concentration and herbal thrust, tapering off saline and lightly structured yet incredibly fresh. The 2020 is simply spellbinding. (Drink between 2024-2038)"

On the nose, you get an abundance of orchard fruit, kumquat, honey and apple pie with the crust. All that beautiful flavor intensity is capped by elegant silkiness and a moderate 12.5% alcohol content."
