As many of our clients know, Legras has been a producer we have worked directly with since Envoyer began after being won over by their Tete de Cuvee St. Vincent. The entire Legras range offers a high level of quality, exploring the fantastic Chardonnay of Chouilly. Today, we have the Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut, and while we haven't offered it in a while, it is back by popular demand. The Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is an exceptional bottle that won over our clients with its debut a few years back. This is the same Champagne as the much-loved Blanc de Blancs Brut, but has a much lower dosage at three g/l, which is much more on trend and tends to let the minerality come out a bit more. We had been asking them to make a lower dosage of Champagne for many years, so it was exciting when this was finally released.
This Blanc de Blancs embodies the Legras house style: energetic, focused, and fresh, yet with grand cru density. This low-dosage example shows incredible purity and a slightly more mineral profile, which many of our clients enjoy. All grand cru fruit from Chouilly, the Blanc de Blancs from Legras has been a workhorse and fantastic value, and this is no exception.
